The MPT is an assessment of the math skills that students have acquired and is designed to determine proficiency level and therefore placement for math courses.

If a transfer student’s major requires a math course that has not already been taken, you must have evidence you have taken the prerequisite course (or are in the progress of taking the prerequisite course) or take the MPT.Ĭurrent students who have not earned credit for MAT 1033-Intermediate Algebra or a “C” (2.0) or better in MAC 1105-College Algebra at UCF, or another college or university, must take the MPT.
